From Nick:

DD, I was searching the web and found your site. It looks great. Glad to see you enjoying some success in the pros. As someone that saw all of your collegiate games (We even bought Wake season tickets just to watch you play in WS one year, but that was when you were hurt) I just wanted to say good luck and if you are ever trying to unload any jerseys (even of teammates) I work for a Teen Center and would love to hang one up! Here's to tossing 55 touchdowns next season! Nick ( Greensboro , NC )

Thank you for your support back in my college days and now! God Bless

From Mark:

I was a Sports Medicine physician from 2001-2003 at UNC (I now practice in Indianapolis )and always enjoyed my interactions with Darian. He was a fantastic player and one of my all-time favorite Heels. I wish Darian all the best in his career. Don't ever underestimate Darian Durant, he's a winner and true warrior.

I really appreciate that Mark. Good luck to you!

From Greg:

Darian, Got your link through Tarheelblue.com. I'm 41 and have always been a huge Heels fan. That being said, you are in my top five all-time. I love your style and how composed you were behind center. We could have used your mobility this year! Do you get a chance to come to any games in Chapel Hill ? What do you think of Butch Davis and his staff? Tell me how a southern boy can catch a Saskatchewan game? Best of luck to you. Sincerely, Greg Peterson---Sec 129 row N Kenan

Thank you so much for the compliments. I am estatic about the success Coach Davis is bringing to Chapel Hill. Unfortunately because of our scedule i can't make it to any games, but you best believe i have satellite tv to catch the Heels.

From Dan:

Hey Darian just wanted to say hello and that you are still remembered in Chapel Hill, and I wanted to say thankyou for all the great things you did, from giving us a reason to watch in 02-03 to nearly singlehandedly engineering a winning season your senior your. You will always be one of my favorite heels, we may have quarterbacks under butch that may throw for more yards or whatever, but they lack your heart, leadership, and intangibles which made you a great college player. Best of Luck with your pro career, and I hope you get another shot in the NFL.

Thanks Dan! Even though we didn't have much success as a team during my tenure at Carolina, it's the support of people like yourself and others who support me that made my years at UNC special.

From Chris:

Hey Darian! Glad to see that you re-signed with the Riders. You played well last season when given a chance. We should have a good group of receivers with the addition of Jason Clermont. Wondering what the difference in style between Austin and Miller is? What do they do the same? Have you kept in touch with Austin ? Good luck this season! I have decided to move to Regian and buy tickets for every home game as my excitement level has never been higher! looking forward to another great year in Riderville!!! Thanks! Chris P.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to working with our recievers this year. Given the amount of talent we have there, this year should be special. There really aren't any differences between Coach Austin and Coach Miller. The biggest thing is that Coach Miller is much more laid back with his approach. Haven't spoken to Coach Austin directly since he left but he calls every now and then to speak to everyone.

From Quincy:

hi darian its quincy again, i was just wondering something. The other day i googled you and i saw a picture of you in a race care when you were in college, what was that for?? i have loved cars all my life and i though that the best quarterback i have ever seen was in a race car. any way if you could tell me what that was about i would really appreciat it. p.s YOU ARE THE FUTURE OF RIDER NATION!!

We were invited to Charlotte, NC to play in the Continental Tire Bowl my senior year in college. During the week we had various activities to participate in during the week. We we were invited to the Charlotte International Speedway to ride one lap with NASCAR drivers. It was a scary experience!!!

From Jeff:

Hi Darian, Congrats on the new contract with the Riders. I cant wait to see you in Green and White again this next year. You did a great job last year and I fully believe you are the future of this team. Hope that the offseason is treating you well. All the best in the New Year and can't want to see you in training camp. Its going to be a great thing seeing you work with Fantuz, Dressler and Clermont next year. God bless, Jeff

Thanks Jeff! I can't wait until training camp either. It's going to be a blast working with the weapons we have on offense. Please don't forget about Adarius Bowman either. I said it first!

From Travis:

What's up D? I am glad to see you were given a chance to rejoin the Riders. I see your career has been doing well. I have not been able to see you since you starting playing in Canada , but I watched you during your career at North Carolina . I am also glad to see Justin is doing well with the Jaguars. Oh if you don't remember who I am, I was your starting fullback during your sophomore year in high school.

What's up Travis. Don't act like I forgot who you are. I appreciate you visiting my site and the support you've shown. Thank you!

From Eddie:

From Bo:

Darian, Big Tar Heel fan here. I've followed you for years and you remain to be one of my all time favorite Tar Heels. I only have one question/invitation. Do you plan on coming home to Chapel Hill for any of the '09 games and if so, I'd like to invite you to attend our Carolina Blue tailgate. We have a few former and current players that drop by. Cam Holland , Johnathan Linton and Brandon Spoon. Ronnie McGill is supposed to come to one or two this year. It would be a pleasure to hang out with another UNC legend to hear some of your past and current stories. Good Luck, God Bless and Go Tar Heels(Riders)! Bo Tate

Thank you fellow Tar Heel! The only way i would be able to attend a game is if we don't make the playoffs here. Unfortunately i don't ever seeing that happen. When my career is done and you're still doing that i would be more than happy to stop by and chat.

- DD
